TPFS WEEK 4 HOME PRACTICE, Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐

 STAR HOME PRACTICE SESSION

If you are in groups 5 or 6, this is the video for you!

Passing & Possession

FUTSAL SKILLS

FUTSAL WARM UP (15-20 mins)
The first part of the session is 15 to 20 minutes of ball manipulation practice where you will practice three skills to ‘beat a player’ from our Futsal sessions… spend around 5 mins on each skill, then you can tie them all together!
The three skills demonstrated by our ‘mystery coach’ are:
– Change of direction (out to in)
– Shoulder drop (out to in)
– Sole role stepover
Coaching Points:
⚽ Remember to take little touches before you do the beat the player skill.
⚽ Remember to accelerate away from the player you’ve just beaten!

TAG GAME

TAG GAME (10 mins)

For this weeks TAG game it’s simple shuttle runs with a pass at the end of each one:

Run from a object to a mark where someone needs to pass you the ball as you arrive at the mark.

Challenge: How many shuttle runs and passes can you get done in 30 seconds?

UNOPPOSED PRACTICE

UNOPPOSED TECHNICAL PRACTICE (15 mins)

You’ll need a partner for this! If not bounce off a wall!

Make a little gate which you ‘pull off from’ then receive the ball. Receive on the ‘half turn’ then dribble up to a mark up 8 yards away from the gate. Perform a simple, sharp turn and pass to your partner who should repeat what you did ‘pulling off from the gate then receiving the ball’.

Coaching points:

⚽ When receiving, pull off the gate, get ‘side on’, check your shoulder, and receive on the back foot.
⚽ Practice this at a high tempo. And take short rests (30 secs) si you can keep the tempo high.
⚽ Focus on the quality and consistency of your passes.
⚽️ Make sure you receive the ball with as much care and attention as possible. Follow the coaching point one (above).

OPPOSSED PRACTICE

OPPOSED TECHNICAL PRACTICE (15 – 20 mins)

OPPOSED TECHNICAL PRACTICE (15 – 20 mins)

To be played against a partner. Make two gates (2-3 yards wide) opposite each other (around 5 yards apart) and each of you stand behind your own gate. You have two touches to pass the ball through your opponents gate. The first person to miss their opponents gate loses the point.

Rules:
– Ball must stay on the floor.
– You have to use two torches.
– The ball cannot stop dead (even after your first touch.
– You must always receive and pass from behind your own gate.
– You don’t need to pass the ball through your own gate only your opponents’.

Play best of three!

Well done guys! We really hope you enjoyed your home practice!

Can you create a 30 second clip of something you’ve practiced and either email it to info@tufnellparkfootballschool.co.uk or even better, get your parents to upload it on their social media with the hashtags #TPFSHomePractice#PassMaster and make sure they ‘tag’ us!  You can find our social media info at www.tufnellparkfootballschool.co.uk
